It’s ON again… With $25,000 in prizes EVOLVE AWARDS 2012. TAKE ME TO MILAN!

I just LOVE this competition, many of my design buddies entered Evolve in it’s first year and one of them even won which gained him plenty of media and trip to the Milan Fair.

Designer Rugs have recently announce their second EVOLVE AWARDS – the six winning rugs will form part of Designer Rugs ID COLLECTION 2012/2013, and be in the running for more than $25,000 in prizes, including a trip to Milan. To be eligible entrants must be an Australian or New Zealand architect, interior designer or interior design industry professional.

THE BRIEF
Entrants are invited to submit a maximum of three (3) designs intended for a 200 x 300cm or 250xm diameter rug. The designs should be innovative, inspiring and original, suitable for residential and commercial interiors. This year, all applications will be made online .

Handmade contemporary rug design entails much more than transposing a two-dimensional graphic onto the designated surface.
Exploring the design and construction process of hand tufted rug construction, the Evolve Awards 2012 workshops will be held in most capital cities, aimed to equip design professionals with technical knowledge to nail the design process.
