did someone say Mexican?

Mexican design studio r-z studio has just completed it’s latest project looking out over the valley of Jiutepec de Morelos, Mexico.
Designed and built as to serve as a holiday home with a view to become a permanent home for the owners in their later years r-zero opted for a single story floor plan complete with discrete ramps and stairs at the entry points. The low proportions of the building successfully allow it to blend with its environment taking its colour pallet cues from the surrounding mountains. I love the black granite partition juxtaposed by the light concrete formed walls and cubist design.

Below is another project designed by r-zero that I just love, I am a huge fan  of pre-formed concrete when executed so perfectly with the magnificent window slats and mixed material pallet of stone and concrete.
