mosaic life

The earliest known examples of mosaics were found at a temple building in Abra,  and are dated to the second half of the 3rd millennium BC. They consist of pieces of colored stones, shells and ivory.  However, mosaic patterns were not used until the times of Sassandid Empire and Roman influence. Today mosaic’s still hold a sense of art and elegant style with many of the Italian mosaics leading in innovation and finish.
I have always been a massive lover of Italian mosaics which are like jewels consisting of precious metals such as Gold and Platinum and some of the most desirable colours . But its the Italian’s that do it the best with each tile exuding hand crafted luxury.
