Foolscap studio was formed in 2009 and has fast become one of the most exciting young studios in Australia, charged with the task of the installation of The 18th Biennale of Sydney (no mean feat!). With a broad, yet laid back, design aesthetic, which is as much experimental as it is a response to the client’s needs, Foolscap Studio have produced interiors that focus on carefully considered material choices together with exceptional joinery to create textual spaces which respond subtly to the needs of those using it. In doing this, they promote the healthiest possible interaction between their interiors and the people for whom they are created and invite the exacting craftsmanship and inherent proportions of each space to be fully appreciated. With their characteristic streamlined process to tackle each job, we can look forward to seeing some beautiful and lasting interiors from young folk at Foolscap Studio.
