A renovated apartment in Istanbul is given a sleeker more dramatic look. The tone is set by the soaring high ceilings and drama is added with the ornate gold pressed metal ceiling. The significance of the gold ceiling feature meant that the everything below the ceiling needed to be kept simpler with all the appliances integrated into a single marble block. Throughout the apartment the clever mix of luxe and natural materials adds warmth  and casual chic to the eclectic mix. Yep totally heaven.

Recently refurbished by Autoban is Istanbul’s award winning bar-restaurant Angelique spread over two levels with views overlooking Bosphorus Strait of Istanbul. With intricate wall panels with forming a second shell layered over the original walls. Soaring ceilings and marquetry columns take center stage giving a nod the glamorous art-deco period.  So glamorous …. so Autoban
