Concrete love by Jolson Architects
Designed by Melbourne based Jolson Architects concrete blades extrude from the sloping ground from which the first floor rests and cantilevers above the bronze clad walls below. The house is like a sculptural object with the concrete blades working their beauty into the interior creating a series of rooms. The open plan interior is defined by layers rather than walls and filled with rich textures and finishes of polished and raw. The midnight black pool makes for a perfect selection for a basement indoor pool…. dark and luxurious. The first floor is the retreat with master bedroom, dressing room and ensuite. The his and her studies are defined by contrasting light and dark furniture pallet. So much to love !
