Middle Park heritage … Revisited
The Harold Street Residence is a new dwelling located in the Middle Park heritage overlay area. The brief called for a new residence for a couple with university age children that could accommodate their evolving family needs. Surrounded by predominately single storey Victorian terraces JCB delivered the projects heritage context through architectural form and detailing working within these parameters. The sculptural red brickwork and sweeping roof is sleek and detailed with a hit and miss brick pattern providing a perforated layer between street and the internal spaces. The building is a sculpturalally engaging family home that acknowledges its heritage context of the street in a positive way. Just another reason to love JCB!
