Russian Delight by Marina Gisich

This Russian project by Marina Gisich brings together an astonishing art collection and chic design into one dynamic space. By far, the incredible light feature in the entry hall with its organic, ethereal and almost whimsical form stands out as quite unique and situated as it is directly opposite as people walk in, sets the tone for the rest of the apartment. Through out the design Gisich has played with different colours and proportions to create a space that not only serves to enhance the art which is display, but also becomes an extension of the art itself. The bathroom of highly graphic gold and brown tiles is a warm and luxurious space and even here art can be found whereas the furniture in the main living area is purposefully kept low and utilitarian so as not to distract from the art and apartment itself. This bold project is certainly keeping my interest in Russian design alive!
