going underground
If there was ever an incentive for taking the train / subway then Stockholm have it sorted! The Stockholm Metro is one of the most incredible looking subway systems in the world likened to gallery spaces more than a place to catch a train. The stations of the Stockholm Metro feature exposed rock forming the ceiling and walls of these man-made tunnels. These rocks are painted bright, varied colors that create a literal underworld escaping the world above. Swedish photographer Alexander Dragunov with his keen eye for architecture and his ability to study the rocks and stations waiting with his camera to capture the stations in the brief moments when he and the subject are alone in silence…. stunning.
