After life as a church this former church in the Netherlands played home to a antique showroom, conference space and concert hall. Its most recent incarnation serves as a glorious home created by Zecc architects. The clever and thoughtful redesign of the church emphasize the spatial qualities with the 1st floor which has been inserted in sections so the soaring cathedral is still the on view uninterpreted by the new build. The facade of the church remains unchanged with no new windows added rather working with the building than against it. The lower level houses bedrooms, study and bathroom, creating the ultimate fusion of contemporary living in a historical context.
