Ukrainian architectural and interior designer Igor Sirotov, proves that Russians can create well designed minimalist homes. The lake house is anchored by raw exposed concrete which is rich with pitted texture patina. The finishes such as wide white timber planks and timber batons add texture and warmth against the steel and glass. The stunning bathroom marble tiles provide an unexpected pairing to exposed concrete adding just the right amount of drama. The well executed layers work magnificently against the monochromatic pallet devoid or any colour. The floor plan is the true meaning of open plan with each space integrating with the public spaces leaving each room bathed in natural light. Love it!
