Historic conversion

London based TG studio converted the top three floors of a grade 1 heritage listed building in the St Pancras chambers. The apartment is one of 3 penthouses but the only one to have enlisted TG studio to transform the space. The grade 1 listing meant the floor plan was maintained but all staircases, balustrade and partitioning, were replaced. The master bedroom is located at the top level and is reached through a staircase turning around an oak clad storage room. The floor area has been enlarged to include a walk in wardrobe and provide an open plan in which the triple height living room can be closed through the use of an electrical operated curtain.The middle and the lower floor of the penthouse contain the public spaces of the home with a library, kitchen, dining area and lounge. The penthouse also includes two extra bedrooms with its own entrance and en suite bathrooms placed in two Gothic towers.
