New South Wales… South Coast
The Jamberoo Farm house designed by Sydney based studio Casey Brown Architects is located south of Sydney. Perched high on an escapement the property is afforded views over the rolling hills and beyond to the ocean. The design provides a new family home amongst the existing buildings including an old dairy, barns and cottages around a magnificent Morton Bay fig tree. Three gabled pavilions create a series of views through the building. The main pavilion housing the living spaces features dramatic cathedral ceilings with exposed hardwood posts, paired rafters and and scissor trusses. The new building has been carefully designed to add a contemporary layer however, the new building responds in scale, shape and proportion to the historic buildings on the site. Just another reason the love the South Coast of NSW.
