Precious Boxes … Spain

I just love a creative space that makes you question what is it? The design of the Relojeria Alemana boutique called for OHLAB studio to design five “Precious Boxes”, VIP area, temporary art installations, outdoor lounge, back office area, and the signage leaving the space in between the volumes as an exhibition gallery. Covered in golden stainless steel plates with mirror finish, three of the reflective boxes are located inside the store, while the other two are outdoors, extending the exhibition gallery to the terraces. Employing the idea of jewelry boxes, Madrid-based architecture studio OHLAB created five eye-catching gold boxes within Port Adriano’s new jewelry boutique, Relojeria Alemana. Principal architects Paloma Hernaiz and Jaime Oliver outfitted the boutique with sculptural and abstract volumes that reflect a golden and slightly deformed nautical environment surrounding the shop dissolving visual barriers between the interior and exterior. I just adore it … don’t you?
