Central Park duplex

This duplex penthouse designed by David Hotson Architects in association with Legorretta+Legorretta overlooks Central Park. The elegant minimalistic home features a blackened steel stairway suspended from the upper level structure.  The suspended stairway hangs over a stunning marble plinth which transitions into stairs and pond occupying the entry hall of the loft and lower level living space.  The warm oak floors and painted red walls soften the hard angular architecture bringing a little warmth to the project. I just adore the use of marble and timber, its just the perfect combo….right?
