undressed windows

Great window merchandising can reveal the soul of a brand, however fashion brand Kloke has a different approach. With the opening of their flagship store on Brunswick Street Melbourne, the undressed windows welcome a flood of daylight and allow a clear vision into the heart of the interior.

Designed by Sibling, the entire store is based around an invisible grid, where parts of the grid push up through the floor as display boxes and a staircase leading to the ceiling.

We love how this staircase has been utilised not only for display purposes but also a clever way to conceal the changing rooms. The overall space has been completely stripped back to reveal a refined palette of finishes – Victorian Ash (very appropriate considering it’s location!), concrete, limed floorboards and a touch of copper for hanging garments. The overall feeling is light, airy and definitely ordered.  The introduction of the hanging plants really injects the right amount of warmth to tie the space together. The brand promotes that they are “a product range that pays close attention to functionality”, and we think it’s safe to say the interior reflects this ethos.
