New York Nuances
In design, the nuances will tell more of the story that the obvious. In this project by S. Russell Groves the subtle palate, joinery detail and quiet sophistication create a space that is calming and interesting to look at. By far, my favourite feature of the apartment is the joinery because joinery is one of those elements that is so easy to get wrong, so seeing Groves execute it in such an understated and elegant way is a triumph. The bathroom vanity with the slight nod to mid-century and stunning stone basin and splash-back make me swoon!
The rest of the apartment is a sea of rich chocolates, cool blues and warm beiges which in any setting will create a peaceful environment. Together with fabulous art and the odd splash of colour, this apartment really is rather enviable!
