École Militaire Paris 2014 Spring

In keeping with posting this on Anzac Day 2014 we thought we would share a little military fashion action taken from the Paris 2014 Spring runway. Thom Browne is a man known for his rigorous attention to detail, and his talents as an expert at tailoring have been well documented. So it would seem like something of a no brainer for Browne to choose to go with a military theme for his menswear show. Although we have seen this done before I have not seen it with such a feminine take. The show, which took place at the École Militaire in Paris, the collection was delivered in the form of rosy cheeked, red lipped, and mirrored sunglass wearing male toy soldiers. The collection was unquestionably over the top. But it could be embraced more easily with the knowledge that more commercial alternatives await buyers on the rack.
