Dior man winter 2015
Set against immaculate white walls, the Long Museum in Shanghai that Kris Van Assche chose to present his Dior Homme Autumn-Winter 2014/2015 collection, which was also shown in Paris.
The house of Dior says, “The Dior man is a devotee of the flawless cut, of traditional tailoring reinvented in a modern and laid-back urban manner, sporting white sneakers and rolled-up jeans. In watching this man move, one’s eye is immediately drawn to the good-luck charms associated with the incorrigibly superstitious Christian Dior: a sprig of lily-of-the-valley embroidered as his boutonniere, fine white stars on a suit jacket and black roses that look like they’ve been scribbled on shirts.”
As a final tribute to the founding couturier’s favourite flower, the gigantic white canvas that constitutes the décoris lit up with lily-of-the-valley and the show ends on a dreamlike note. Continuing the festivities, Park Hae-jin, Mark Zhao, Han Geng, Dou Xiao, Ni Ni, personalities from cinema, fashion and music, all turned out for the concerts by Gesaffelstein, the hot new star of French minimalist electro,
and Kim Ann Foxman, the internationally renowned DJ.
