Bronte Beach dreaming

For our readers going into winter like we are in Australia I thought I would bring back some sunshine and summer warmth with this stunning Bronte Beach house.

Alexandra Donohoe is a Sydney based interior designer who is doing some truly stunning work. This family home located  high on the cliffs of Bronte celebrates light, form and a bold palette of finishes. Designed by well known architect Luigi Rosselli, the house itself, like so many of his works, is stunning piece of sculpture. Alexandra’s Practice, Decus has masterfully balanced the interiors with cool matte white walls, blocks of graphic pattern and colour resulting in gorgeous livable spaces.

The bathing rooms are generous with a high level of detail and finish. I particularly love the Bocci pendants against the small square black gloss mosaic wall. How glam!

The furniture selection is of quality and contemporary pieces and I feel sit harmoniously. Outside a louver system helps to protect the outdoor room with BBQ and fireplace from the prevailing winds but for me this house is all about that view and AMAZING sun lounger at the pool’s edge. I’m sure we would all love an afternoon basking in the sun on that thing!

This home is a master class in contemporary interior design. It balances a robust sculptural build and finishes palette with simple, chic and uncluttered design resolution.
