the red wall
Huge contention walls, built from a local red local red stone quarried from the site defines the house upon arrival. The parallel walls layout perpendicular to the mountain forming the spaces of the house, large windows create a dialogue with the surrounding terrain.
The impression of the lack of limits between the exterior and interior of the house is mainly due to the massive glass windows and the height of the ceilings. There is a smooth and fluent connection between the internal rooms encouraged by continuity of the materials between rooms, this communication is stressed by the reduction of these materials to the minimum. Tropical timber for the external woodwork is perfectly integrated with the stone walls and the white colour used inside the house for walls, horizontal hinges doors and furniture gives unity and tranquility to every room. The unification of materials, the harmony between colours and the emphatic geometry of the house combines to create a fantastic and privileged viewpoint to the skyline.
