Silver Factory
Standing at the threshold of this property in Paris; the drama, vibrancy and energy is what is first noted. The Napoleon III moldings, strips, rods and Second Empire cornices of the entry covered in platinum leaf speaks to the Silver Factory of Andy Warhol in a hybrid of pop culture and Parisian chic.
Architect Charles Zana has designed a duplex that pulsates with graphics, animated block colour screens, coloured walls and a distinct and well-appointed art collection. The palette throughout revolves around high value contrast of black, white and grey.
The black granite laid in the foyer is used in both polished and beaten matte form and organised into in a graphic and fragmented pattern. This motif is used throughout the home: as a rug in the living room and painted finish on the wardrobe faces. This pattern forms a story and provides a consistent dialogue between the spaces. It acts to unify the eclectic furniture and curated art collection.
