Gucci`s ’70s revival

Gucci`s ’70s revival will last past this summer and into fall 2015. The 70’s marked the golden age for Gucci and has remained a constant reference point for the brand ever since. But, small details can result in an entirely different collection and for Pre-Fall 2015 the offering proved stylistically sharp and beautifully nostalgic.
Balancing the boyish and the ladylike Gucci’s creative director Frida Giannini offered a glamorous take on the Seventies bourgeois look with spun sleek yet detailed designs including wool-jacquard suits and knee-length silk dresses in a sophisticated pre-fall palette of red and black, lit up by touches of white – via a range of graphic patterns with a vintage feel.
Veering toward the opulent, Giannini also used sparkling beads and jewels to embellish both a graphic wool jacquard coat made of Persian and Mongolian lamb fur. I know right …what girl would die for a little more Gucci this fall?
