By the Water’s Edge … Sydney
This Sydney waterfront home, tucked away in the southern suburb of Cronulla, is a true phoenix rising for the family who call it home. In its original condition, the house was dated and dark in places and didn’t reflect the incredible location on which it sits. The family called on Amber Road, an interior and landscape design firm, to transform the house into the fresh, minimalist home they desired.
The program devised by the designers paired back the interior and introduced a materials palate of concrete, plywood and oak that was calming, strong and relaxed, but also practical in its application. Throughout, the use of white, muted olive green and black walls work to create a warm self-assured spaces and together with the clean lines of the furniture the home skilfully meets the clients brief for an updated and minimalist
Amber Road has in this project shown how the right materials and clever colour choice can create the perfect mood for life by the water’s edge.
