stylistic periods

Alfonzo Icaza is an antique dealer in the central district of Madrid. In addition to fashion designers antique dealers in my opinion have the best homes and I love an opportunity to peek inside. They are experts at mixing form, finish and pieces from vastly different stylistic periods. Here neoclassical objects and elements sit side by side with photography and contemporary art. An interesting juxtaposition.

A rich palette of materials and textured chenille’s upholstered on various armchairs and sofas fill the spaces. Icaza specialises in vintage pieces from the 40’s to the 70’s. The black glass and brass coffee table is a favourite of mine. Curated and extremely sophisticated Alfonzo Icaza’s central Madrid home is masterclass in eclecticism.
