Guest speakers are… Interior Designer Allegra Hicks (UK) and leading Trend Forecaster Victoria Redshaw (UK) of Scarlet Opus, will headline the series, whilst Australian speakers will include Diane Bergeron, Jason Grant and Anne-Maree Sargeant.
Allegra Hicks (UK) is a highly acclaimed designer, style maven and author. Her trademark style is one of ‘bohemia fusion’, incorporating unlikely patterns and colour, to form a harmonious whole. Allegra will be interviewed by Lisa Green, Editor in Chief of Australian House & Garden. Together, they will discusses the importance of colour and texture and the fine art of scaling in any room.
Victoria Redshaw and Phil Pond (UK) are the Founders and Lead Trend Forecasters at Scarlet Opus, an interiors and home-dedicated trend forecasting consultancy. Redshaw and Pond have advised clients for more than a decade on the future of consumer and design trends and their seminars will explore key deign trends for interiors in 2016 and beyond.
Diane Bergeron (AUS) is an internationally recognised authority on interiors, style and design. Having spent 25 years designing and decorating beautiful interiors around the world, Diane joins Australian House & Garden to explore the intricacies of design. Diane will share her rule breaking tips to creating beautiful spaces packed with personality and how we are putting too much emphasis on trends.
Interior stylist, writer, blogger and most recently stationery designer and paint designer, Interiors extraordinaire Jason Grant (AUS) has an impressive list of credentials. His work has appeared in many Australian and International magazines including, Belle, Inside Out, Real Living, Vogue Living, Elle Decoration, French Grazia and more. For his seminar at Decor + Design, Jason will inspire attendees to have the confidence to find their clients’ own style, designing from the heart, keeping it personal and decorating with what they love.
As former Editor at Large of Belle Magazine, creator of the design blog The Snap Assembly, and an initiator of the design mecca SPACE Furniture, Anne-Maree Sargeant (AUS), is an authority in the design industry. A renowned supporter of original design, Anne-Maree has been instrumental in establishing national platforms that exhibit, promote and sell authentic Australian design products. She will join a group of panellists including Robyn Holt (AUS), former CEO of Conde Nast Australia and Pru Sanderson, CEO of the Design Institute of Australia to discuss the topic Replica #Designforall? Anne-Maree will also moderate a panel discussion Exporting Australian Design on the Global Stage. The panel which includes Sarah Gibson, Co-Director of Design ByThem, Lou Weis, BROACHED COMMISSIONS Co-Founder and Creative Director, Christopher Boots, Lighting Designer and Industrial Designers, DANIEL EMMA Daniel To and Emma Aiston will share their experience of taking projects to other markets.
