Lithuania Calling

Admittedly, Lithuania doesn’t often enter into my thoughts so I was somewhat surprised when I saw that this stunning project is located in the Lithuanian city of Vilnius.  Createdby Indre Sunklodiene, the apartment is a fresh mix of traditional detail, with modern joinery and a range of furniture that lingers somewhere between classic and contemporary.

Firstly, the flooring. I am mad for a soapy oak floor (especially with a crisp white wall)! The floor and walls create the perfect canvas for the understated yet sleek soft grey custom joinery in the living room. Added to this, the fixed and decorative lighting in the brushed brass complement the soft finishes.

The designer has used a strong colour palate for the furniture that works to give the space interest without being too punchy. Overall, the apartment is the perfect balance of texture, colours and light.
