A Fresh Start

Like the start of a new year, this apartment in Milan is fresh and promising. Conceived by the Italian-Spanish firm Quincoces-Dragò & Partners, the design honours and celebrates the traditional detailing of the historic building and uses it, together with a stunning soapy oak floor, to showcase a series of stunning custom joinery pieces.

By far, for me, the kitchen is the standout room in the apartment. Hidden and minimalist kitchens are my dream and if the design of this one was not enough, the attention to detail seals the deal. The travertine bathroom too, is beyond stunning and everything a good bathroom should be – cool, calm and collected.

The furniture, though sparse, is a thoughtfully edited mix of mid-century classics and modern day pieces with the result that the collection work in harmony with the architecture to create an airy and lush home.
