connected living
What is it that draws us in to São Paulo architecture? For me it’s the large volumes of space that seem to always be on point, not too big, still cozy, warm and always open to the surroundings, bathed in natural night, natural ventilation with modern engineering and using natural materials mixed with stone and concreate. Jacobsen Architects present the perfect balance of all the above in this São Paulo house located Jardins.
The MLA house is a single volume that runs parallel to the plot, with a view of the dense garden created in front of this prism. The living and dining room with a double-height ceiling was centered in this volume and also features an indoor garden throughout the living spaces. The bedrooms, on the first floor, occupy the two ends of the volume and communicate via a walkway that bisects the double-height living room.
Large roof eaves, slender structure, transparencies, wood and stone achieve classic São Paulo architecture that I simply cannot get enough.
