Lush Life

Tucked away in a golf resort one hundred kilometres from Sao Paolo, this family home, designed by Studio Arthur Casas, has been created to not only house the owners and their children but also to instil a great sense of relationship between the interiors and world beyond.

The architect has arranged the house on a linear plane ensuring the full potential of the site was taken advantage of and with the clever use of glass and screens the house provides the owners with great privacy while at the same time opening up their home to the landscape. On the south side of the house, facing the golf course, the façade is made of large glass doors that can slide away to completely open the house to the terrace and pool. With the doors open, the connection between inside and out is further enhanced with the continuation of the stone floor.

The furniture throughout is simple and well-edited, and together with a colour palate of warm neutral tones taken from the land around the house, the interiors reflect a lush Brazilian lifestyle.
