The New Milan

When making the decision to move out of the their central Milanese home that the family had lived in for over one hundred years and turn it into a boutique hotel, the Ranza family knew that the end result should be an honest reflection of the history of the building, while being a fresh and luxurious addition to the Milan design landscape. For the Ranza family that meant hiring a local architect, Alessandro Bianchi, to oversee the entire transformation and creation of the new Senato Hotel.

The end result is a seriously lush hotel with luxe finishes throughout from marble, brass, rich timbers and fabrics. The light fittings are a feature in every space being simple yet strong designs that set the tone for the range of furniture that pull the heritage space into the twenty-first century.
