Finders, Keepers – New Jersey
This week I am taking a dive into proper interior decoration (and by that I mean wallpapers, accessories and one-off vintage finds!) with this New Jersey project by Jenny J Norris Interiors. I have admitted here freely that I am always drawn to minimalist interiors however this project drew my attentions because of the eclectic collection of furniture and bold use of colour.
Norris explains that a love of travel inspired the design and with that she set about sourcing pieces from sources high and low and everywhere in between. For me, it is a real talent to be able to mix flea-market finds with high-end designs, and moreover, make it look effortless. In redesigning this historic home, Norris wanted to emphasis balance throughout. So, for all the moments of high decoration and whimsy, she has ensured there are calm, quiet moments.
It is a home that has personality plus (!) and I love the individual character and story that has been created within its walls.
