Spicy Velvets – The forecast

Autumn has arrived and it’s all about velvet, mustard and shades of moody blues. The Pantone colour spicy mustard brings us to a warmer place, not yellow neither orange, it is something in between. Mustard works particularly well with a mix of dark traditional wood and reclaimed rough floorboards. This type of yellow pairs perfectly with dark gloomy blues, – paint a room with a beautiful navy and to spice up a dull corner add the Stay Gubi velvet armchair. Dark blue cabinetry also works great in a kitchen and adds depth so don’t scared to go dark.

Less flashy than classic yellow, mustard yellow definitely adds a punch of color, but is closer to a neutral hue, making it more versatile and chic. 70’s vintage brown velvet is also making a bold return. It adds warmth to any space which is great for the colder months. Velvet not only looks lush but feels amazing, touch is vital in interiors and nothing feels more sophisticated then velvet. The Muffin 03b Pendant by Brokis features a European Oak wood bottom that has been carefully waxed to preserve the wood grain encased by a hand blown, glass ‘muffin top’ in either smoke grey or amber glass it adds a beautiful feature to any room.
