My heart! After a five-year hiatus, the iconic London store, Connelly has been reborn by the storied French duo Gilles & Bossier and for me it is perfection. Housed in a Georgian townhouse in the heart of Mayfair, the store is two levels of highly-edited luxury goods and one level of residence for the store’s owner, Isabel Ettedgui. As with the store’s products, this design for me is all about the edit: the editing of styles & textures and of colours & finishes.

Without a doubt, the two highlights for me are the timber spiral staircase – a design we have seen many times of the years but somehow here is delivered with more honesty and class – and the double height atrium in the store, capped by the handsome skylight that casts a heavenly glow over the luxury goods below.

Throughout the entire building, a sense of craftsmanship underscores everything from the joinery to the furniture and the accessories and indeed it is this narrative that defines the Connelly brand. Again, my heart!
