Keeping it real – Toorak
This stunning Toorak home was transformed into a cozy and modern space by NOTHBOURNE Architecture + Design. The house needed to cater for a new little addition to the family, but instead of adding an extension, NORTHBOURNE was able to work within the clients budget by re-configuring the existing floor plan and optimizing functionality.
One of the client’s wishes was a luxe master suite with an ensuite bathroom and walk-in closet. The ensuite is fitted with unique charcoal Japanese mosaic tiles which contrast with the white paint and fixtures. There is nothing better then a dark moody bathroom and this bathroom speaks to me on such an emotional level.
The main bathroom is quite the opposite with a light and airy feel although with the ceiling painted black making the space feel larger. Breathtaking yet simple marble mosaic tiles were used with contrasting black tapware and bathroom sanctuary.
The furniture and styling of this home is full with soul and personality. It has a real living feel with a sense of sophistication. Defiantly one of my favorite residential interiors I have seen in a while.
