Bachelor Party
Hernandez Greene are the duo responsible for the transformation of this Greenwich Village apartment from basic white box to ultra-glam bachelor pad. The brief for this project was simple – create a home that did double time as a space to display art and to entertain on a lush scale.
Katrina Hernandez and Joshua Greene of Hernandez Greene devised a program that saw the apartment defined into different area intended for entertaining situations – an eat-in kitchen where guest could congregate before dinner (and which the client admits is the centre of life in the apartment), a dining room for formal dinners, a chic breakfast table for casual meals and a den for late night drinks.
Each room is dressed in swathes of greys, creams and whites with texture paramount to giving each space a unique identity – I am mad for the suede upholstered walls in the den. Adding to this, and more importantly than anything else, the client’s impressive art collection has been given pride of place to live and be appreciated.
Not only to I love that sophistication and style of this apartment, I especially love that it challenges the status quo of a typical bachelor pad.
