Located in Tepoztlán, Mexico the Albino Ortega house has a fortress like facade made of texcal stone, once inside and it changes, opening up to integrate local terrain and garden vegetation. Designed by Rozana Montiel | Estudio de Arquitectura, stone and wood predominate the home with water present both inside and outside the house, calming all spaces, connecting them with vegetation, ventilation and sound.

Like a colonnade the house intertwines interior and exterior all the way to the terrace and the open garden. The upper level juts out like a wooden floating box on the second floor; taking in the lush green views and plunge pools. The house combines different intimate spaces that allow contemplation, connection and nature dotted with scattered secret gardens throughout.
