candy-coloured sophistication

Located at Tseung Kwan O, a coastal cluster of high-rise residences in Hong Kong’s New Territories. What this 46 square meter apartment lacks in size it makes up for in charm and character, not to mention stunning views of the urban landscape. Commissioned by a Parisian fashion designer, local architectural design practice Lim + Lu has designed a bachelor pad of restrained elegance that nevertheless dazzles with splashes of vibrant colour and alluring reflections that reflect the owner’s whimsical personality while making the most of the limited available space.

Taking its name from the twin tower residential development it belongs to, Twin Peaks residence stands out among dozens of identical generically designed apartments with its design boldness by whimsically combining a base colour palette of soft, neutral tones with an eclectic selection of candy-coloured furnishings and brass-mirror surfaces that both make the space look larger and bestow a vitality that is sorely needed in such an urban setting of rigid uniformity. One can only imagine how jealous the neighbors will be!
