Bottega Veneta – “Masters of Craft”

Last Friday evening, Bottega Veneta presented the “Masters of Craft” Event at the Australian Centre for Contemporary Art in Melbourne. The event took myself and guests on an immersive and interactive journey through Bottega Veneta’s heritage of craftsmanship and its Venetian provenance. Three installations in the gallery space were dedicated to tableaux of Bottega Veneta’s products, both iconic and new, with live demonstrations (in which I assembled a bag tag) with artisans from the house’s Atelier in Montebello Vicentino.
It was a stunning visual and sensory journey of Bottega Veneta, the evening also featured DJ sets by Niki Dé Saint and Running Touch. Among the notable guests were Rachel Griffiths, Sigrid Thornton, Juliana Forge, Kitty Callaghan and Jamie Priesz, Miranda Skoczek, Amanda Briskin-Rettig, Kiri-Una Brito Meumann, Nick and Rozalia Russian, Bruce and Chyka Keebaugh, Natalie Bloom, Janek Gazecki and Natalie Decorte, Stanislava Pinchuk, Jasper Xu and Kristy Wu.
