Brazilian flavour in Melbourne

Brazilian sudio Jacobsen Arquitetura have brought a little Brazilian flavour to Melbourne. The brief was to design a welcoming family home in a leafy residential suburb of Melbourne that maximised the full potential of the land allowing for as much garden as possible, where the pool and entertainment area are center stage.
The corner site attracted small setbacks but also gave Jacobsen Arquitetura the opportunity to use an L shape footprint taking advantage of the visual amplitude of the lot in relation to its neighbours, whist providing ideal solar orientation. Steel structures, large glass panels, stone and concrete are softened by the application of timber cladding and internal timber ceilings.
