Fresh off the dock is Segments – a series of innovative coloured body, non-rectified porcelain wall tile designed by Guglielmo Poletti. These 3-dimensional designs boast as a pattern of minimalist character that becomes refined decor, thanks to its many possible configurations and the variations within the product itself. Each style can be used individually or in combination with others across the collection.
Guglielmo Poletti is an Italian designer, currently based in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. After early studies in Milan, he earned an MA in Contextual Design from the Design Academy of Eindhoven, graduating in June 2016. Since the very beginning Poletti developed a simple yet personal language rooted in a hands-on investigation of materials and their limits, in relation to concepts of balance and fragility. A simple line whose many repetitions add up to strong visual impact. The graphic element, with its strong tactile wraps a space in elegance; its stark formality evokes the unexpected.
