Judging panel for the 2021 Dulux Colour Awards announced
The judging panel for the 2021 Dulux Colour Awards has been announced, marking the 35th year of celebrating masterful and sophisticated use of colour across interior and exterior commercial, public and residential spaces. Leading experts from Australia and New Zealand’s Architecture and Interior Design industries will comprise: Jefa Greenaway, Director of Greenaway Architects; Melissa Bright Director of Studio Bright; Patrick Loo, Director of Common Space (NZ); Sarah-Jane Pyke, Co-founding Director of Arent&Pyke; and Suzannah Waldron, Director of Searle x Waldron Architecture.
Dulux Colour and Communications Manager, Andrea Lucena-Orr, says the judges are industry leaders, all of whom have been justly recognised and awarded accolades for their work. The judges will review the shortlisted entries across the following categories:
COMMERCIAL INTERIOR – WORKPLACE AND RETAIL Interior paint finishes of any commercial or industrial building e.g. offices, studios, factories, retail outlets, pop-up shops, shopping centres.
COMMERCIAL INTERIOR – PUBLIC AND HOSPITALITY Interior paint finishes of any commercial or industrial building e.g. community centres, museums, theatres, places of worship, cafes, restaurants, fitness centres, hotels, one-off installations, event spaces, education and healthcare facilities.
COMMERCIAL AND MULTI-RESIDENTIAL EXTERIOR Exterior paint finishes of any commercial, industrial, education facility or multi-residential apartment building.
RESIDENTIAL INTERIOR Interior paint finishes of a private residence, including single and multi-residential.
SINGLE RESIDENTIAL EXTERIOR Exterior paint finishes of a private single residence.
STUDENT (YEARS 1 – 6) Paint specification by architecture or interior design students who are currently attending or have just completed (within the past 12 months) a course by a recognised university or college.
The 2021 Dulux Colour Awards entries are open now, with submissions closing Monday 24 May 2021. Winners will be announced in August 2021
