Kyah Boutique Hotel and Skheme Tiles – Blue Mountains
Nestled in the serene Blue Mountains, newly renovated, and renamed Kyah Boutique Hotel has undergone a tasteful and elegant architectural transformation by MKD Architects
Drawing inspiration from coastal Palm Springs with a mix of Blue Mountains Bohemian, Kyah features classic pastels tones with a dramatic splash of wood and leather, playfully mixing clashing tones into something unique yet comforting.
Throughout the entrance, main lobby, and their onsite restaurant BLAQ, feature Skheme Tiles Tibet and Tibet Crazy Pave porcelain range which compliment the natural aesthetic and soft tones. Rosa Zarci Slabs and XL Flutes have been fabricated into the welcome desk, in a creative mix of both orb and concave formats.
In the bathrooms, Skheme’s T3 Urban tiles have been installed for floors and Scoop Terra and Bottle Green Mosaics are used for a bold feature wall.
In their restaurant BLAQ, Skheme’s T3 Bungalow is used alongside the Tibet range for flooring. Rosso Asiago XL Flutes clad the main bar in an eye-catching design of deep red and orange, drawing from the autumn palette traditional of the Blue Mountains. On the top of the bar, Venetian Cotto Terrazzo slabs compliment the Rosso, adding that extra touch of luxury to an already beautiful space.
