Whats not to love about Kerry Phelan Design Office whom favor a collaborative design approach, which espouses the theory of emotional design, a soulful and responsive exploration of ideas, rather than a static design methodology. This is expressed through a strong architectural aesthetic that has ultimately resulted in creating warm and versatile spaces.
Located in Melbourne Australia one of K.P.D.O.‘s recent projects, a Regency-style residence consisted of a three-year restoration and expansion and the outcome is a weightless interior with a timeless monotone pallet which emphasizes the structural detailing, furniture, wall finishes & soft upholstery within. Layers of detailing like the semi-circular door motives provide a bespoke language through out the dwelling such as cupboard handles linking all the details together. Throughout the residence, colour is introduced through furniture, artwork and decorative objects. The rigorous detailing gently underpins the project with a subtle clarity.
