2022 Australian Interior Design Awards shortlisted has been revealed
The 2022 Australian Interior Design Awards shortlisted has been revealed, with 184 projects recognised across the country for excellence in interior design.
Returning for its 19th year, the Australian Interior Design Awards are known as the country’s leading industry-based awards program. The event celebrates the work of Australia’s finest design minds across residential, commercial and public sectors, with projects recognised both domestically and internationally.
Delivered by the Design Institute of Australia (DIA) and Architecture Media’s Artichoke magazine, this year’s program welcomes a return to the traditional awards schedule, following last year’s successful mid-campaign pivot to a digital broadcast.
This year’s jury, convened by Geraldine Maher, Director of Maher Design, is as follows:
Madeleine Blanchfield, Director, Madeleine Blanchfield Architects (NSW)
Eid Goh, Director, Architects EAT (VIC)
Stuart Krelle, Director, Luchetti Krelle (NSW)
Rosie Morley, Principal, Fender Katsalidis (VIC)
Jade Nottage, Director, Tom Mark Henry (NSW)
Beatrix Rowe, Principal, Beatrix Rowe Interior Design (VIC)
Peter Walker, Director, Cumulus Studio (TAS)
Scott Walker, Principal, Hassell (VIC)
The full list of final awarded projects will be announced at the Gala Presentation Dinner, which will be held at the Hyatt Regency in Sydney on Friday, 17 June 2022. Here is a snapshot of just some of the projects shortlisted for the 2022 Australian Interior Design Awards.
